It's an Auburn tradition to TP roll Toomer's Corner, after winning a football game. There was a big celebration after winning the Iron Bowl 11-26-10. The morning after looked like a snowstorm of TP!

reading.....

Omri loves books; He loves to look at all the pictures, but he is not too keen on letting me read to him, yet. I'm looking forward to that! As much as he loves his books with all the cool pictures, he really loves to play with Granny's books. First, he methodically removes my bookmark, and then turns all the pages....maybe he's absorbing all the words, LOL :-)

Unanswered Prayers

July 25th.......38 years ago, I married the "man of my dreams". Two days before our 12th wedding anniversary, he told me he was unhappy and would be leaving. Neal was 5; Matt was "minus 4 months"; In an instant, my world turned inside out. I prayed; I asked God to fix it; I BEGGED God to fix it; Lots of people prayed and asked God to fix it. It took YEARS for me to understand that God knows best. I am often reminded, how much better off I am, without him. I truly DO thank God for "unanswered prayers!!!" Amen!!

Uncle Don

My Uncle Don died last week, at the age of 85. This picture of my dad ("Buddy") and his little brother (Don) was probably taken around 1932. As often happens when there is a death in the family, I am filled with a mixture of feelings. I am sad for my cousin, who is also filled with a huge mix of emotion.

It's just not a trip to Cracker Barrel unless you kick back on the "front porch" in the rocking chairs. Omri (20 months old) "played checkers" with Daddy, while Mommy and Granny rocked.....

4th of July 2010

I went with Matt, Jessica, Damo, and Omri to see the 4th of July fireworks display at The American Village in Montevallo, Alabama. Great food, great fireworks, fun with family!
I had not been to a fireworks display in many years, and had never tried to photograph them before, so I was really excited! I spent the day researching photography blogs and youtube for advice on settings for photographing fireworks; I'm such a geek!
